“This may make your hand/leg jump a little bit.”

Nerve conduction testing ā€“ a small but noticeable electrical current is delivered through your skin to the underlying nerve(s). This may make your hand / leg jump a little bit.

I just got a phone call from the specialist to whom the doctor referred me two months ago. They have an appointment for me to get the nerves in my arm tested, to calculate the severity of the carpal tunnel syndrome. If I’d remembered that I was waiting for this, I’d probably be annoyed at the delay. As it stands, I’d completely forgotten, so am actually very pleased. I’d be even more pleased if I hadn’t looked up the specialist’s website, and found the content to be rather badly organized, oddly phrased, and replete with spelling errors. Le sigh.
