The pic in the previous post is of my mom the day after her fall, sitting in the luxurious lobby of the Chateau Laurier hotel in Ottawa. We’d intended on spending the day visiting museums/art galleries, but almost everything is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays in winter! Who knew? So instead, I convinced her to go into the ancient hotel and take the elevator to the top floor, where we looked out all the windows and took photos of the view. Cheaper than any gallery and more fun due to the sneakiness-factor. That’s also when I took the main photo (above), of the Parliament buildings.
Update on my mom’s health: stitches out today, black eye almost gone!
